

Cody Slater, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Slater founded BW Technologies (now a subsidiary of Honeywell) in 1986, a global manufacturer of industrial and commercial gas detection devices with a product line of more than 30 unique instruments. From the Calgary head office, Mr. Slater grew the company's operations to include offices throughout the world.
Mr. Slater's impact on one of the country's Fastest Growing Technology companies was well recognized. Mr. Slater's achievements have garnered numerous awards including Canada's Top 40 Under 40, Alberta's Most Influential Top 50 People, Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Certificate of Merit for Business Excellence by Industry, Science, and Technology Canada. Mr. Slater is also a Director of Picasso, Inc., a publicly listed Capital Pool Company on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Clark Swanson, Director, President & CEO
Mr. Swanson is currently a Director of Blackline GPS, Inc., after joining the board of directors in October, 2007. Blackline GPS, Inc. is a privately held technology company focused on providing products and services to the consumer and commercial market sectors for global positioning. He is also President & CEO of Picasso, Inc., a publicly traded company listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange under the symbol PSO.P. Picasso, Inc. was formed in 2006 as a Capital Pool Company.
Prior to April, 2008, Mr. Swanson was responsible for sales and marketing at Sourcecode North America, a global software firm specializing in collaboration and business process technologies software and professional services. Prevailing over the Southwestern United States, Mr. Swanson led the sales organization in North American to achieve record profitability and growth. Mr. Swanson's contribution helped facilitate a series C financing by FT Ventures in Silicon Valley, California.
Before joining Sourcecode, Mr. Swanson was Director of Client Services for Immedient Corporation, the largest privately held Microsoft services partner prior to their acquisition by INS and subsequently, British Telecom. At Immedient, Mr. Swanson serviced brand name global clients, such as Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Amgen, Parsons Consulting, Microsoft, Amgen and Nissan, among others.
Mr. Swanson's successful career began in the entertainment industry and after leaving the the technology company Introvision International as Vice President of Development and Acquisitions, he joined Universal Studios under a three year term deal with White Eagle Productions. As Executive Vice President, Mr. Swanson was responsible for all aspects of domestic and international business transactions including tax-based financing structures, leveraged bank funds, private equity pools and insurance based investment structures.
Separately, Mr. Swanson servers as an advisor to the merchant banking firm Ocean Capital Partners, and maintains an active role in the investment community, identifying newly emerging high growth businesses and capitalization of select firms. He holds a degree in Economics from Pepperdine University and also graduated with honorable distinction from the Graziadio School of Business & Management with an MBA, emphasis in Finance.
Patrick Rousseau, Director, President, and Co-Founder
Mr. Rousseau graduated in 1995 from Ste-Foy College, majoring in Industrial Design and Administration. He began his Industrial Design career working for a local design firm in Calgary, AB and produced works for companies such as Nortel, Casio, Royal Bank, SMED International, Novatel Wireless, and many others.
Mr. Rousseau joined CSI Wireless in 2000 and was responsible for managing the company's creative direction for product design. He managed the company's Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering team and oversaw the commercialization of over 15 products.
A change of path led him to the founding of BlackLine GPS in 2004 alongside Brendon Cook.
Brendon Cook, Director, Executive Vice President, and Co-Founder
Mr. Cook has B.Sc. in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary. For nearly a decade, Brendon worked for Calgary-based CSI Wireless as their Product and Marketing Manager and developed business relationships with organizations including Rockwell Collins, Simrad, Raymarine, ESRI, USDA, and many others.
He managed the company's precision product portfolio and was responsible for the market analysis, generating market direction, defining new products, and assisted with managing the company's product development program.
Listening to his internal entrepreneur, Mr. Cook founded BlackLine GPS alongside Mr. Rousseau in 2004.
