Reporting to: Blackline GPS VP Sales

Overview
Blackline GPS sells and markets consumer electronic wireless location products within national retail distribution and local retail dealer networks.
The Retail Account Manager is a technical sales account executive who is responsible for empowering Blackline GPS sales performance within the Canadian retail channel. Reporting the VP of Sales, the purpose of role is to increase channel selling success as measured by both channel sales and sell-through. The role of the Retail Account Manager begins with the close of a sales relationship with retail, distribution, and dealer accounts. The Retail Account Manager actively drives in-the-field channel programs, including channel partner SKU management, channel training, management of channel promotional programs, forecasting, and generally managing the needs of retail clients in order to increase sales and sell-through within the channel.

Duties

  • Sales calling including product presentations and follow-ups

  • Assists with forecasting

  • Facilitating marketing promotional programs

  • Channel partner SKU setup

  • Physical and online merchandising management

  • Facilitates development and deployment of POS merchandising and signage

  • Training of channel and retail staff

  • Communicating channel and client feedback

  • Some sales prospecting is required

  • Domestic Canadian travel is required

Requirements

  • Must be able to balance numerous programs that are at different stages of lifecycle

  • Must be able to understand how to integrate within an organization and achieve results within the team and by listening to client needs, collaborating, and managing to successfully roll-out channel programs

  • Expert usage of office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM applications

  • Expert written and verbal communication skills that drive results

  • Proven technology adopter

Experience

  • 5 years of consumer electronics retail merchandising

  • 5 years of retail account management experience

Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
